Amy walked into the barn, one of her favorite places in all of heartland.
She breathed in the smell of horses, and headed to the feed room, to start the morning schedule. While mixing feeds, she glanced at her watch, and with a start, hurried up, she had told Soraya that she would be at Maggie's at 7:30. After feeding all the horses, she was wondering where Ty was, when Caleb O'Dell rode up the drive. "Morning! Have you seen Ty?" she asked. "He's out with Scott". Amy sighed, he was so busy with Scott these days that she rarely had time with him. She took Spartan and Copper out to the pasture. She grabbed the keys, 7:22 the clock read. She sighed with relief, she would make it.

Alyssa really didn't want to be coming to this place, but it was her only hope. Her friends had told her about Briaridge and all she had,had to say was"heck no". Her father had told her about Heartland and Amy and all the wonderful things she had done for horses that had been there before her. Her father had told her that she would be be going alone for this trip and that she would have to do the talking for herself. She sighed as she heard the banging coming from the trailer. She saw the driveway to Heartland and turned into it. She saw the barn and someone coming out of it. She stopped in the yard and got out looking around. A scream filled the air around her coming from the trailer. She flinched as she though how scared Star must be.

Amy walked back to the barn with Stace. She rubbed Spartan on the head as he thrust it out the stall window, craving attention. "I'll be right with you boy, then we can go for a nice long ride"
She stopped when she heard a truck pull up, and a pretty blonde step out. "Hi, can I help you?"

Hi,can I help you?"

Alyssa looked up as the pretty brunnete walked up to her, this had to be Amy Flemming, the miraclde worker. Alyssa held out her hand"Um ya my name is Alyssa...Alyssa Whilde, and I've heard about what you do here at Heartland and I was hoping that you could help my horse Star. I know I probably should've called but I was sort of desperate..."She hated admitting that she,a professional jumper, couldn't even help her own horse, but what had happened to Star was nothing she alone could fix.

Alyssa's eyes lit up as Amy said they could take Star"Well Star and I do three-day eventing and when we were in the show jumping part about a year ago this lady flapped her coat while Star and I were going over a jump. Star got startled and he tripped and fell head first into the jump. He's over the physical hurt but whenever he hears something flapping or sees something out of the corner of his eye he flips out." she managed to sum it up in a quick paragraph.

Oh, post-accident trauma, I see that a lot, especially in show horses. Where do you live, will you want to stay around while I work with him? sometimes its good to really build trust between the owner and the horse.

"I live about three or four miles down the road, but our barn is another mile down the road...and if it's ok with you I would like to be around when you work with him"she said

Ashley nodded and turned and headed towards her trailer. She opened the door and went inside and clipped Star's leadrope on his halter and led him out. Star reared up and flailed his hooves as Ashley led him towards the barn.

ic: Stace ran out to help with Alyssa's horse.  When she was next to Amy she whispered in her ear "Are you sure you can fix this horse?"
